Miles of golden sandy beaches, a mountainous interior and subtropical vegetation, this is one of the most attractive and popular regions of Spain for visitors. > Costa del Sol
The majority of holidaymakers visiting Spain come to the Costa del Sol to sunbathe and get away from the cold weather in other parts of Europe. The area's mild climate makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round. Although there is a good deal of property development, there are plenty of sights and places to explore, especially Malaga and its striking Alcazaba, a palace from Moorish times.
> Costa de Almería
The visitor to Almeria is spoilt for choice as far as sightseeing is concerned. You can choose a visit to a white-washed village with handicraft stalls and narrow streets, or tour Granada's famous Alhambra, pleasure palace of the Emirs, where every garden has a serene pool and sparkling fountain.
> Costa de la Luz
The Costa de la Luz is the western part of the Andalusian coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. Its name comes from the bright, vivid light that fills the streets. Orange trees, beaches wide enough to land a jumbo jet, and over 3,000 hours of sunshine every year, Costa de la Luz is sun and sand as well as a paradise for golfers and winsurfers.
> Costa Brava
The Costa Brava is a coastline of incomparable beauty. Here you will find a great variety of possibilities for many different sort of holidays, all with a common characteristic: a marvellous marine landscape and away from the coast a distant backdrop of snow-capped mountains behind almond groves and orchards and green, rolling hillsides. An ideal place for families with children.
